Nextdoor and Kristin Levine Team Up to Celebrate National Pet Month

National Pet Month is a time to celebrate our furry, feathered, and scaly friends, recognizing the joy and companionship they bring to our lives. This year, Nextdoor, the neighborhood app, is partnering with pet expert and author Kristin Levine, known for her book “Pampered Pets on a Budget,” to honor the occasion in a special way.

Nextdoor is the place where real people, businesses, and local agencies get together to chat about what’s happening in their communities. And with a whopping one in three households on Nextdoor having a pet, and 80% of neighbors being proud pet parents, it’s clear that pets are a big deal in our communities!

For pet lovers, Nextdoor is more than just a social network—it’s a community where they can connect, share tips, and seek advice on keeping their pets healthy and happy. Parents can swap stories and photos, offer advice, and even receive alerts when a beloved pet goes missing.

One of the coolest things about Nextdoor for pet parents is how it helps reunite lost pets with their families. By sharing photos and info on the app, the whole community can pitch in to help find a missing pet. In fact, in 2023, over 193,000 pets were reunited with their families through Nextdoor!

So, as we celebrate National Pet Month, let’s raise a paw to our amazing pets and the awesome community that supports us in caring for them. Join Nextdoor and Kristin Levine in celebrating our furry, feathered, and scaly friends and all the love and joy they bring to our lives!
